After nearly three decades, the festival will no longer be managed by Música no Coração, the promotion company led by Luís Montez. This change follows the conclusion of its contract with Super Bock, the event's long-time partner and sponsor. The festival dates for the next edition are planned for 17th, 18th, and 19th of July 2025, although the new organiser is yet to be named.
The Super Bock Super Rock festival began its journey in 1995, debuting at the Gare Marítima de Alcântara in Lisbon. Over the years, it evolved in format and location, carving out a rich history in Portugal's music scene. Recently, it has been hosted at the Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta, near Meco in the Sesimbra municipality, where it became known for its vibrant atmosphere marketed with the slogan "Meco, Sol e Rock N' Roll".
